The Company came into being as a Public Company limited by Shares in 1935 and later became a Govt Company in 1987 u/s 617 of the Cos Act 1956 by transfer of entire Shareholdings to Bharat Bhari Udyog Nigam Ltd (A Govt of India UT) of which this Company is a subsidiary-The Company is primarily engaged in Fabrication & Erection of Steel Bridges, Concrete Bridges, Marine Structures, and other allied Civil Works relating to Power Plant, Steel Plant and Infrastructure
